Roll back the people and still pocketing their money is punishment enough for Blizzards mistake. Imagine calling for peoples heads to roll in a 16+ year old version of the game because Blizzard is too incompetent's to put these checks in places. People who are doing it after this already went public are 100% going to get banned. Imagine the cash double up to clone a character and then move it. Either Ybarra wants to sell gold on SoM servers and/or they wanted people to pay for cloning services on their old Classic Era characters and transfer them to SoM, or both. I still think it was "accidently" intentional. So yeah, they might ban them, it doesn't mean they should it was their mistake, a huge one, that was completely foreseeable on their end. They banned people on retail for "zone exploitation" when their own flight path was dumping them off incorrectly. People got banned for taking advantage of less impactful exploits so I wouldn't be surprised if these guys got banned. But what to expect from an indie company *shrugs* The people responsible for the transfers need to get fired. Removed Comment by Ace94 on T09:23:06-06:00įor what? Because Blizzard's fu*k up? People paid money for the transfer and if Blizzard allowed it is on them, not on the players lmao. Are we suuuuuuuuure Blizz didn't want to cash in on some Classic to SoM transfers?

So I can see a rollback/refund incoming and a "we overlooked this potential." But lets be real for a second. They didn't, they clicked through legit menus ingame and floated money to ActiBlizz. When I read the headline, I wondered how they hacked it. The server option is clearly available and tagged on Blizzards side, and as per usual, they had no problem cashing the check for the service. It is not possible to link from in-game in Diablo III. Accept the permissions to the app and click Continue to complete the connection.

If you dont have a account, click on Create a Free Account. Most people would assume even if the option were there, their gear etc would be unusable until that phase was launched, or expect SOME kind of plan on Blizz part. Click Link Account (this opens a browser) Log in with your account. There is no warning window, no blue post, nothing saying those servers are ineligible. I don't see how this results in a ban, people need to slow down. Never thought they could sink lower than Amazone New World lol. Its nice that he had the name Indiecompany since Blizzard is a real Indiecompany by now lol. Imagine all the recipes and gold he brought with him and traded.

Has more twitch subscribers and a following etc. He said so on stream too so he probably won't care about a ban, just plays another 70 on TBC after. Comment by Jean89 on T09:09:07-06:00īasically people have multiple accounts these days. Cause gold already spreted around by buying Things, sendet IT or Transfer between guild members. Hoepfully all of thoe abusers get their whole Battle net account perma banned Comment by Cridi on T09:07:26-06:00 Time to roll back those players that took advantage of this transfer bug or even ban them cause if u did this without knowing then then didnt say anything and took advantage of it u should be ban (bad spelling sry) Comment by minka25 on T08:56:51-06:00
